The world of Wade Wilson is about to get quite a bit larger with the upcoming release of Deadpool 2. The Merc with the Mouth is going to enlist some serious reinforcements in his battle against Cable, and that will lead to the eventual creation of the obviously derivative X-Force. There's a lot of fan anticipation to see what the new mutant anti-heroes bring to the equation, especially as far as Zazie Beetz's Domino is concerned. On that note, a new trailer has finally debuted showing her audition for the team, and it looks like she is going to have some great banter with Wade. Check it out, below.
It takes quite a bit to keep up with Ryan Reynolds' fast-talking, smartass sensibility, but that trailer seems to show that Zazie Beetz is holding her own in a major way. In addition to her seemingly supernatural luck (which Wade insists isn't a power), it looks like the character will have an awesome chip on her shoulder and won't put up with any of Deadpool's nonsense.
One other thing that this video draws attention to is the fact that Domino has a particularly odd superpower that will be interesting to see come to life on the big screen. As Deadpool points out in We Got This Covered's newly-released clip: luck doesn't seem like a cinematic quality to have for a big screen superhero, so we are going to have to wait and see how director David Leitch can convey Domino's unique abilities in a way that makes sense for die-hard Marvel fans and casual audiences alike.
Of course, Domino is not the only member of X-Force who will debut in the upcoming Deadpool sequel. In addition to this badass femme fatale, the film will also introduce Terry Crews as Bedlam, as well as Lewis Tan as Shatterstar and Josh Brolin as Cable. Moreover, the film will also bring in Rob Delaney as the delightfully unimpressive Peter -- who really is just excited to have a job in the gig economy. That is just the ensemble that has been revealed in the trailers, so we will have to wait and see what other characters are waiting in the wings.
Zazie Beetz will officially debut as Domino when Deadpool 2 premieres next month on May 18.
