Following the epic results of Avengers: Infinity War there may be no more anticipated film than Avengers 4. Few actually know what happens in the next movie, but Chris Hemsworth is one who does. He took the opportunity of accepting a Teen Choice Award over the weekend to tease some spoilers to Avengers 4, which, of course, was never going to happen, but you still sort of hoped it would. Check it out.
Chris Hemsworth took home the Teen Choice Award for Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor for Thor: Ragnarok over the weekend. The awards were a big night for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Letitia Wright and Michael B. Jordan all also took home acting awards for their respective Marvel movies and both Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther took home movie awards. However, it was Hemsworth's acceptance speech, made via video, that was by far the best as he had a lot of fun with it, teasing spoilers that were lost when the "phone connection" broke up.
Interestingly, the first thing Chris Hemsworth claims is that Thor will be getting a new weapon, and though the audio breaks up before he can reveal what it is, the fact that Thor would be getting a new weapon would seem to be a spoiler itself, considering he just got one in Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, one assumes Hemsworth is joking around entirely here, but who knows, maybe he will be getting another weapon at some point in the film. Clearly, Stormbreaker wasn't quite enough to get the job done.
He also teases the piece of information that has been the biggest question about Avengers 4, the minor detail of what the film is actually called. From the point that we learned that these two films were not going to be called Part I and Part II it's been an open question what the next movie will be called. We've now reached the point where Avengers: Infinity War is out on Blu-ray tomorrow, and yet, we don't know what the movie coming out next May, or possibly April, will be called. At this point, I'd guess the answer will come along with the movie's first trailer, which will probably hit sometime near the end of this year.
While Chris Hemsworth certainly isn't going to reveal any spoilers that he's not supposed to, he almost certainly knows most if not all the answers to fans' questions. Thor survived "the snap" and thus will almost certainly be a big part of the story to come. While Marvel frequently tries to reduce the potential for spoilers by keeping the actors themselves in the dark, Hemsworth was probably part of every key moment in Avengers 4. There likely isn't a lot the production could keep from him.
We'll find out for sure when Avengers 4 arrives next year.
