After an unprecedented year, The Marvel Cinematic has come back in a major way. Three shows have debuted on Disney+, while Black Widow’s release returned the property to the big screen. And now that Scarlett Johansson’s solo flick is in the rear view, all eyes are on what’s coming with Jon Watts’ mysterious Spider-Man: No Way Home this winter. Some merchandise has revealed Tom Holland’s new suits, and now we can see a closer look thanks to some stunning figures meant to coincide with the threequel’s release.
In almost every one of his appearances in the MCU, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has been given updated versions of his suit. That’s expected to continue with Spider-Man: No Way Home, and merchandise has seemingly revealed two new looks. One of them is a distinct black and gold suit, which you can get a closer look of below.
I mean, how cool is that? It’s currently unclear how/why Peter Parker gets some new digs throughout the course of Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it looks like he may be given some new powers as a result. Let’s break down everything we’re being shown here.
The above image comes to us from Twitter, with the images of the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home figure quickly breaking the internet. Hot Toys is known for creating stunningly detailed figures at 1/6th scale to real life, so it’s natural some new Tom Holland merchandise would be coming with Spider-Man 3’s upcoming release. After all, No Way Home is set to arrive in theaters this December, and we haven’t seen any footage or official stills.
In the images below, Peter Parker is shown rocking a new gold and black suit. While some comic book fans are still holding out hope to see Spider-Man get a symbiote suit in a Venom crossover, this might help satiate them for the time being. What’s particularly interesting is his blue glowing chest plate and blue webs. Are these actually energy blasts? Only time will tell.
Hardcore Marvel fans are trying to glean any bit of information about Spider-Man: No Way Home’s contents from the above images. Since Marvel hasn’t actually confirmed anything about the mysterious blockbuster, there are countless theories and rumors about what it might contain. The most popular is that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be back as Spider-Man as the MCU dives into the multiverse. Fans are even trying to decipher the background of the above photos to see if it’s actually teasing said crossover.
Of course, all of the rumors are just that. But as the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home gets ever closer, it feels like the movie’s first trailer could arrive any day. The fans are certainly ready for it, with Sony’s social media accounts seemingly enjoying poking fun at that anticipation. We’ll just have to wait and see which rumors about Tom Holland’s next MCU entry actually come to fruition.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently expected to hit theaters on December 22nd. In the meantime check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
