Operation Kino Podcast #37: The Descendants Reviewed & Animation Discussed

This week on Operation Kino, we're buttoning up our floral shirts and slapping on some boat shoes as we review Alexander Payne's new movie The Descendants. From there we jump into something completely different in Segment 3, talking about the recent move of several high-profile directors into animation, and what that might mean for the form. But first we have a lightning round devoted to those anthropomorphized penguins of Happy Feet 2, then move on to tidbits, where Da7e has a few encouraging words about the fate of Community, David is wowed by Tilda Swinton in We Need To Talk About Kevin, Patches revisits the glories of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Katey wants you all to know just how crazy The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is.

You may notice the home of Operation Kino is looking a little different, and may we say spiffier. Kino Katey is no longer, and while you'll still be able to find those features like Virgin Territory and other video blogs at Cinema Blend, Operation Kino has gotten a well-deserved home of its own. It's a change, but definitely for the better!
