One thing that I really like to see is that Arnold isn't acting like the macho youngster who was back in the 80s, but is instead embracing the fact that he's a bit older now. He obviously still looks strong and like he can kick all of our combined asses, but it's good to know that they are playing up the realism and showing that he's a bit out of breath while doing so. It will only make him look more badass in the long run.
Based on a script written by Andrew Knauer, the film begins when the leader of a major drug cartel manages to escape from a U.S. courthouse and makes a break for the Mexican border. The last line of defense for the law ends up being a small town and it becomes the responsibility of Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) to make sure that the criminal doesn't get away. Genesis Rodriguez, Jaimie Alexander, Peter Stormare, Forest Whitaker, Harry Dean Stanton, Rodrigo Santoro and Johnny Knoxville co-star in the movie. The Last Stand will be in theaters on January 18th and you can read more about it in our Blend Film Database.
