Kim Kardashian

A new witness interview connected to Kim Kardashian's recent robbery in Paris reveals that the hotel she was staying in should probably receive a large part of the blame for her traumatic heist at gunpoint. The concierge at the illustrious Hôtel de Pourtalès has come forward to reveal that he has been warning the hotel management for six years about the criminally lax security measures.

Identified only as Abdulrahman, the concierge who was help at gunpoint and forced to assist the robbers in entering Kim Kardashian's Paris hotel room on October 3 told The Daily Mail that the gunmen were able to get away with their armed heist because the hotel has basically no security precautions. Abdulrahman, who called himself a guard in the interview rather than a concierge, admitted he was the only person working at the Hôtel de Pourtalès the night of the robbery, and that the hotel has no security cameras, flimsy locks, and refuses to change its access code.

There was no real security at all. It's a choice. The hotel doesn't mind about security. We told them years and years before, you have to make a camera, you have to put [in place] a security process, about keys. Nothing was locked, there was no proper security there... I told the hotel years ago, you need better security and they didn't mind. If you look at that big door, it wasn't locked, it was open. We talked about it and nobody cared. The code of the door was never changed and everybody knew it.

The Daily Mail team confirmed Abdulrahman's claims about the access code by using the code that was in use the night of Kardashian's robbery to enter the hotel and roam the halls unchallenged. This means that the hotel has apparently not changed its access code yet, even following the most high-profile international robbery of the year.

Abdulrahman went on to reveal more details about what happened the night of the robbery, saying that three men dressed in police uniforms motioned for him to come to the hotel doors, and when he did they handcuffed him, held him at gunpoint, and forced him to not only show them to Kim Kardashian's room, but to act as their interpreter throughout the robbery. The man now plans to take legal action against the hotel for its gross incompetence.

Known as the No Address hotel, Hôtel de Pourtalès has a reputation for discretion, which is the main reason why many celebrities choose to stay there when in Paris. However, Abdulrahman claims that the establishment's emphasis on secrecy comes at the dangerous expense of any actual security for its guests and workers. Abdulrahman is now the key witness in Kardashian's robbery case, and is reportedly very shaken by the incident and fearful that the gang will continue to target him.
