News broke a few days ago that Kourtney Kardashian's former husband and the father of her children, Scott Disick, was put on a 5150 psychiatric hold last month. In the time since, reports have indicated he has been re-evaluating his life, and he recently even went to lunch with Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, further moving away from his recent troubles and proving the Kardashian clan is around to provide support.
What happened was this. On August 18, Scott Disick was hospitalized after the L.A. County Fire Department went to the reality star's Hidden Hills home. The 911 called mentioned at the time that Disick was drunk and when the firemen showed up, he was being uncooperative. By the time the local sheriffs were called, he had gotten his act together, but he was still placed on involuntary hold at West Hills Hospital for 72 hours. Kourtney Kardashian reportedly showed up during the ordeal, as both of Scott's parents have passed and he is the father of her three children, Mason, Penelope and Reign.
This isn't the first time that Scott Disick has dealt with troubles. Disick has always been known as a hard partier, and since he and Kourtney Kardashian met back in 2006 he's waffled between trying to stay on the straight and narrow and getting into trouble. He's been to rehab before, and after reportedly cheating on and subsequently splitting up with Kardashian, reports have indicated he has dealt with alcohol issues.
Scott Disick has always been a fascinating reality TV personality. A troubled man with a heart of gold, Disick can be handsome and charming and has always shown a love for his family, even after his split with Kourtney Kardashian. He can also be slippery and rude, or affectionate and funny. He makes for great TV. But as Kardashian found out, he may not be the best partner material.
Still, from the looks of things, the Kardashians are never going to let the father of Kourtney's kids go completely, even if they've thrown water in his face before and even if the couple is looking to move on. According to the Daily Mail, Scott Disick spent time with his former mother-in-law and even went shopping with her, seemingly working to prove the rumors that he has been trying to get his life together after the psychiatric hold. He returned to work earlier this week and also had dinner with Kim Kardashian and Jonathan Cheban, so he's certainly keeping the family connections close. Which seems to go hand-in-hand with the reports that Disick and Kardashian have been working together to co-parent as peacefully as possible.
We'll let you know if anything else happens in Scott Disick's life in the near future. But honestly, we're hoping he gets it together. He deserves to find some happiness and some freedom from troubles, but more importantly, so do Penelope, Mason and Reign.
