Gwyneth Paltrow Named World's Most Beautiful Woman By People

Every year, People Magazine picks a Sexiest Man Alive. Every year, their choice attracts a ton of attention and launches more than its share of debates. For whatever reason, the magazine’s choice for World’s Most Beautful Woman never gets quite as much traction. That being said, it’s still a nice honor, and this year, the editors picked Gwyneth Paltrow.

As a mother, an actress and a cookbook writer, the forty-year-old has spent almost a decade blending a personal life with her public persona. At her core, she’s both women, but that doesn’t mean her husband and kids don’t notice changes when she’s in mom/ wife mode vs when she’s promoting a movie.

Here’s what she told People

"Around the house, I'm in jeans and a T-shirt. I don't really wear makeup. That's what they're used to. He'll make a joke about it. If I've gotten fully dressed up, he'll be like, 'Oh, wow! You're Gwyneth Paltrow!' Because he's used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair."

Paltrow has always been a woman who has polarized the general public a little bit. From naming her daughter Apple to her willingness to try any non-surgical beauty methods, she’s gotten her share of negative headlines. That being said, she definitely seems like she means well, and between incredible movie honors and titles like this, the actress clearly has more than her share of fans, as well.

Pop Blend’s sincerest congratulations go out to Paltrow for the confidence-boosting honor. You can take a look at the magazine’s cover below…
