Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience Could Hit A Million Album Sales

Justin Timberlake is still at the top of his game. The singer has been doing well with his newest single, “Mirrors,” but he’s had even better news this week in the realm of album sales, where the 32-year-old has managed to top David Bowie’s new album in sales in the U.K. and is expected to be the #1 title this week. Just a few days into its official release, The 20/20 Experience has debuted as the quickest-selling title of 2013.

Estimates from Billboard state the singer will likely sell anywhere between 950,000 copies to 975,000 copies in its first week. However, if people just spend a little more moolah than expected, that number could certainly reach 1,000,000 units. If The 20/20 Experience does hit the 1 million mark, Timberlake’s album will only be the 19th to do so since 1991 and the last album to do so since Taylor Swift put out Red.

Projections have continued to grow in the days following The 20/20 Experience’s official release on March 19, which means the 1 million mark may not be as unlikely as it does seem when simply considering the prospect. However, we won’t know how the album shakes out until the numbers are officially in on Wednesday, and we promise to keep you posted. Until then, enjoy the video for Timberlake’s newest track, below, or take a look at the album over at iTunes. You know you want to man hit a million copies. Besides, if this sells well, just think how well the man’s next album could do when it drops in November.
