Most Hollywood feuds might seem almost predictable, but now and again, the entertainment industry produces some completely unexpected back-and-forths. From Justin Bieber and the drummer of the Black Keys to Chris Brown and Frank Ocean, why two people hate each other isn’t always as simple as they used to be in a band together or one of the dudes nailed the other’s girlfriend. Case in point: Lindsay Lohan and Tom Brokaw can’t stand each other.
Why? Well, the veteran newsman was not very pleased when Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren decided to take the Mean Girls actress as her plus one to the White House Correspondents Dinner. Recently, he decided to go public with his irritation to Politico, telling the outlet Lohan ruined his time and made it very clear to everyone just how far the event has fallen. Obviously, Lohan wasn’t too pleased about his comments and has been reportedly venting to her friends about what he said.
According to TMZ, Lohan thinks Brokaw bitching about her attendance in public is poor form, and she doesn’t get why he would be so mean about it for absolutely no reason. Honestly, it’s easy to see where she’s coming from too. The White House Correspondents Dinner is supposed to be an extremely loose and fun event. Numerous celebrities have attended in the past, and no one else seems to have had a problem with Lindsay’s presence, save that old curmudgeon Brokaw.
The former anchor hasn’t followed up on his comments since they were first made, but considering his words haven’t gone over that well, it seems unlikely he’ll address the subject again.
