While the screaming goat version of Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" certainly gets a laugh, as does some of the other odd mash-ups made from the song, British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has taken a more serious and acoustic approach to covering Swift's hit song. Check out this video, which shows the "Lego House" singer showing off his vocal control by covering the song on an Australian radio show.

The video below was posted on the Hamish & Andy YouTube page and shows singer Ed Sheeran taking on part of Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble."

One of the things I love most about Sheeran's voice is that there's evident control, which comes through with a song like "Trouble," that jumps around a lot, but there's also a natural, undistorted quality about it that really works, and this cover is just one more demonstration of that. And it's also a great new take on Swift's song, which is featured on her album Red and debuted last fall. The album version currently holds the #11 spot on iTunes top downloaded singles.

If you've never seen it, here's his video for "Lego House," off his album +, which has fellow redheaded Brit Rupert Grint playing Sheeran:
