Watch Lady Gaga Prank RuPaul's Drag Race Contestants As Lady Gaga Impersonator

Lady Gaga is everywhere these days. If she's not on your radio, she's touring in your city or on your television. On that note, the "Fame Monster" will be appearing on television yet again as herself, well, sort of. It will be drag queenception on tonight's Season 9 premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race as Lady Gaga attempts to fool contestants as a Gaga impersonator. Take a look:

I love the look of disbelief on the contestants' faces in the clip when they see her walk out in costume. Not one of them is thinking "Oh damn, that's Lady Gaga," but rather "I just lost this contest." I'm sure the whole room sighed in relief when they realized "Ronnie" was none other than 6 time Grammy winner Lady Gaga, and that they would not be competing with her on RuPaul's Drag Race. I would've loved to see their reaction, but I guess I'm going to have to watch tonight at 8 p.m. ET if I want to see that!

As you might remember, this is not the first time Lady Gaga has dressed in drag. Gaga famously took the stage at the 2011 MTV Music awards as Jo Calderone and performed "You And I" for the audience. That was an actual female to male drag costume and not the female to female pretending to be male drag we see in the clip for RuPaul's Drag Race. She should be thankful that everyone seemed to be convinced she was a great Gaga impersonator! Can you imagine how it would've gone down had she went out there and the contestants just started bashing how fake she looked?

March has been a big month for RuPaul, who will not only be launching a new season of RuPaul's Drag Race, but also publicly announced he married his longtime partner, Georges LeBar. Don't be surprised if you didn't even know RuPaul was in a relationship, as he keeps his private life very under wraps for the most part. Considering he was able to keep his marriage a secret from gossip columnists for two months, I'd say he does a pretty good job!

This month will also be a big moment for RuPaul's Drag Race as Season 9 marks a change of network. This will be the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race that will not premiere on the LOGO network and instead run on VH1. Considering network changes can sometimes be a nightmare for shows, it was smart of the series to get a superstar like Lady Gaga to help build hype for the network shift. If you like the show on LOGO, don't worry, as encore episodes will still air on the network. With the first episode on VH1 airing tonight, will we see the show change in any way to accommodate a more mainstream audience? From what I know of RuPaul, I wouldn't bet on it.

Be sure to tune into RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9 when it premieres on VH1 tonight at 8 p.m. ET. I'll be watching, as I'm pretty obsessed with Lady Gaga and that giant back tattoo of hers. Will you? Check it out, or just busy yourself with something else on our midseason premiere guide or Summer premiere guide if this ain't your thing.
