We're only days away from The Walking Dead finally returning to the airwaves for Season 8. Season 7 ended way back in the beginning of April, and we've only gotten small bits of footage about what's to come in the eighth season. For fans with cable, watching the episode will be as simple as tuning in to AMC at 9 p.m. For cord cutters... well, watching live TV is sometimes a bit of a challenge. Luckily, Sling TV has made it easy for anybody to catch the Season 8 premiere of The Walking Dead this weekend.

The Walking Dead will premiere on Sunday, October 22, and Sling TV has timed a promotion that will allow cord cutters to watch at no cost. On October 22, new users will be able to watch one of the Sling packages completely free and with no credit card required. Fans who want to give Sling a try in time for the premiere simply need to sit down with any Sling-supported device and tune in.

The free preview of Sling Orange will begin at 8 a.m. ET on October 22 and last through 3 a.m. ET on October 23, which means that there will be plenty of time to tune in to some of AMC's Walking Dead marathon ahead of the premiere. If a full day of zombie apocalypse action doesn't appeal to you, there are plenty of other options under the Sling Orange package. You can sign up for the free preview right here starting right at 8 a.m. on October 22.

There are plenty of Sling-supported devices to make it convenient for most people to use the service, including Apple, Android, Amazon, and Chromecast. You'll be able to watch on a device or cast to a television. If you don't already have a way to watch, the free Sling TV option is a pretty convenient way to go. The Season 8 premiere also happens to be the milestone 100th episode for the series, and it's bound to be worth tuning in.

Early reviews for the Season 8 premiere are in, and critics seemed to have mixed reactions to the episode. Still, anything that continues the story of Rick and Co. vs. Negan and the Saviors should be an exciting ride, and the footage we've seen so far indicates that the show is getting off to an intense start. Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has promised lots and lots of blood in the upcoming episodes. Be sure to stay tuned to CinemaBlend for the latest in The Walking Dead news.

You can catch the Season 8 premiere of The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 22 at 9 p.m. ET on either AMC or Sling TV. AMC will probably have the Season 8 premiere up on its website on October 23 free for everybody as it has done in the past, although that hasn't yet been confirmed. We'll have to wait and see.
