Netflix has released yet another look at its upcoming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series by way of a poster, and it wishes its protagonist a "Happy Birthday, Witch." There is a lot to unpack from this poster, which cleverly nestles some subtle and not-so-subtle nods to the dual nature of its namesake. As they say, "the devil is in the details." Check it out below:

In the poster, you can see Kiernan Shipka's rather wholesome-appearing Sabrina looking straight into the camera with a warm smile on her face, as she prepares to extinguish her birthday candles, presumably. Be careful what you wish for, Sabrina! One thing you can cross off her possible wish list is another season of the series. Netflix obviously has faith in the project, having already greenlit the conjuring of two seasons into existence.

Now to those poster details. Behind and slightly above Sabrina, you can easily spot the troubling presence of some devil horns. That accessory is not exactly commonplace for the teenage witch. While that is a clear glimpse into the dual sides of Sabrina's life, there is another occult clue hidden in the poster. A pentacle stands in for the dot above the "i" in Sabrina in the show's title, which is scrolled in front of the cake.

The red hue of the candles and significantly melted wax have their own meaning, as well as the melting drizzle of the frosting. They cast an ominous specter over the party. Overall, the poster has a 70's style essence to it that evokes the horror films of the era. Given that Netflix has described the series as following along the lines of The Exorcist, among others, that may or may not be incidental.

The poster gives fans a "chilling" glimpse into what they can anticipate from the dark series. The ABC sitcom, this is definitely not. Last month, Netflix released the first two official images from the series. In one of them, Sabrina is pictured wearing a dark red coat and matching satchel. While that image was more Little Red Riding Hood in the woods, the second image captured Sabrina's "dark baptism" by Father Blackwood.

Suffice it say, Sabrina will be torn between two disparate worlds in the upcoming series -- that of mortal and that of witch. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will premiere just in time for Halloween, this fall. Season 1 will be available to watch in its entirety, October 26 on Netflix. And Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be joined by countless other shows before the end of the year. Netflix is going to have more than Sabrina to keep horror fans busy. So, keep staying tuned!
