Looks Like Legacies Will Actually Bring Hope And Lizzie Closer Together

Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson on Legacies on The CW

The Originals' Klaus Mikaelson would be proud of his Legacies daughter. Hope Mikaelson has gone from being a loner at the Salvatore school to having almost too many love interests -- including boyfriend Landon Kirby -- and an Avengers fight squad for friends. It sounds like Hope will even do some bonding with her nemesis Lizzie Saltzman toward the end of Season 1, turning to Lizzie for help when she hits a rough patch with Landon.

Here's the synopsis for the penultimate episode of the season, Episode 15, coming March 21 (via The Futon Critic):

"I'll Tell You a Story"SECRETS REVEALED - When the fallout of Hope's (Danielle Rose Russell) actions leaves her and Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) on the outs, she turns to Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) for help making things right. Meanwhile, Landon uncovers secrets about his past, while Josie (Kaylee Bryant) looks into a secret that Alaric (Matthew Davis) has been keeping.

There's so much there to unpack! It's no surprise that secrets would be revealed in the second-to-last episode of the season, setting up the finale. This episode is several weeks away, so a lot is going to happen in the meantime. Apparently Hope does something to possibly break up her relationship with Landon. Do you think that has to do with the return of Roman from The Originals? Maybe, since that episode airs the week before this one. Maybe they kiss? That would be bad.

Just last night (February 28) on Legacies, Josie Saltzman admitted she had a crush on Hope. Josie never admitted it before because anytime she talked about crushes, her twin Lizzie always made a move on her crush and won.

That crush update came with the revelation that Josie was the one who actually started the major fire that Lizzie had always blamed on Hope. Josie had also made up a story about Hope saying bad things about Lizzie. Hope seemed flattered by Josie's crush, rather than upset that Josie had made up stories about her. (#Hosie rises! Still love you, #Posie.)

Josie Hope Lizzie on Legacies Season 1

Lizzie has resented Hope for a long time, and not just for this -- she's also understandably jealous of all the time Hope spends with the twin's father Alaric Saltzman.

Why would Hope turn to Lizzie for help in making things right? Out of everyone in the school, Lizzie would be the last person Hope would turn to for help. Unless Lizzie is the only one who can help, if she saw or knows something that could exonerate Hope in Landon's eyes. We'll see.

Also, it's interesting to hear that Landon will uncover more secrets about his mysterious past. I'm guessing that guy we just learned is named Ryan Clarke will play a big role. Is he Landon's father or -- as one fan suggested last night -- perhaps working for Landon's father?

Also, do you think The Merge is the secret Josie looks into? At this point, Lizzie has heard about the Gemini Coven Merge ritual, but it was wiped from her memory. But maybe though some sleuthing, or snooping, Josie picks up pieces about it and learns the history.

There's so much to come! You know next week is the episode Paul Wesley directed, right? "The Boy Who Still Has a Lot of Good to Do" airs March 7, as helmed by the Stefan Salvatore actor himself.

After that, we have "Let's Just Finish the Dance" on March 14. That's the one where Roman unexpectedly returns, putting Landon on alert.

Legacies Season 1 has 16 episodes, and we already know it will end with Landon kinda sorta facing his father. Also, Alaric's future will hang in the balance. What could that mean?! Julie Plec said they're all really excited about the cliffhanger, and fans will probably be talking about it all summer until Season 2 starts up -- presumably in the fall.

Legacies airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW as one of the many shows now airing in midseason 2019.
