The Awesome Big Bang Theory Prop That Simon Helberg Took From The Set
If you watch The Big Bang Theory, you know Simon Helberg's character, Howard Wolowitz, has quite the interesting wardrobe. He's especially fond of belt buckles, having worn several memorable ones over the years -- from a Klingon communicator to the Batman logo. Now that the CBS sitcom is ending with the Season 12 finale, stars are taking memento props from set. As you can imagine, Helberg went with a Howard belt buckle -- but not just any belt buckle:
So Simon Helberg took Howard's very first belt buckle home. It has special meaning to him, as he told TVLine. That seems fitting. I could also see him and Kunal Nayyar taking home the lightsaber belt buckles Raj got for them in Season 7, Episode 7:
The Big Bang Theory cast has already taped the final episode, which airs this Thursday, May 16. CBS has already even torn down the set, which Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) documented in somber fashion.
Several months ago, Kaley Cuoco (Penny) revealed her plan for the prop she wanted to take from the set. She also said she had a plan to honor The Big Bang Theory a year or two from now. Just something to celebrate the show after a little time had passed, and maybe she had stopped feeling the raw emotions of this goodbye.
The Big Bang Theory just had a shocking breakup in the penultimate episode of the series. Now we have to watch the fallout in the back-to-back episodes airing this Thursday, May 16 from 8 to 9 p.m. on CBS. Here are details from the network on the big finale:
Travels together into an uncharted future -- maybe a flash-forward, or do they literally travel into the future ala Star Trek? That would be amazing. Fans should keep their expectations open, and maybe just hope for the elevator to be fixed, for the series finale of this show.
Don't forget that a farewell special will air after Young Sheldon's Season 2 finale, which airs directly after The Big Bang Theory finale.
