Jake Paul is finally speaking out. The YouTube star had been laying low since the FBI raided his house a little over a week ago and hadn’t posted to social media, which is a rarity for someone who makes a living off of social media. Regardless, he’s still been training for his fight with NBA star Nate Robinson, which recently was moved to November. Now, he wanted to touch base about that and also “set the record straight” about what happened with the notable raid.
In a new video, Jake Paul touched on quite a few things related to the FBI raid on his house. He confirmed what the FBI had already said, that the raid was connected to the looting that occurred at a mall in Scottsdale, Arizona as George Floyd-related protests erupted across the nation. He also said he felt he needed to talk out to tamp down the other rumors rolling around.
I wanna connect with you guys and give you a little bit of an update about a lot of things that are going on with my life, personally, the boxing stuff, all that. So, just to clarify things and set the record straight, the FBI raid is entirely related to the Arizona looting situation that had happened and it is an investigation. There are rumors about it having to do with so many other things that have nothing to do with me or my character and the shit that people are making up is absolutely absurd.
The rumors in question were rampant, as some people thought the FBI might have been sent to Jake Paul’s home following a rager he threw in Calabasas that defied social distancing rules. Reports have also indicated he owes some on a tax lien, and these are the less colorful ideas the internet has thrown out about why his home was raided and computers and other items were reportedly retrieved.
Another thing worth noting is the other part of the video, which has already been deleted but still can be seen online because nothing dies on the Internet. Later in it, YouTuber Jake Paul mentions toxic relationships and how he doesn’t put up with them. If you’ve been keeping tabs on this story you may know that Armani Izadi’s home in Las Vegas was also raided over seemingly the same Scottsdale incident. He isn’t named in Jake Paul’s post, but it’s clear Jake Paul has no problem cutting out what he perceives to be the bad apples in his life.
That being said, when I become aware of someone around me who is doing malicious things they are immediately cut out of my life. I don’t put up with bullshit, I don’t surround myself with bad people. And if someone does something bad they will be removed from my life.
Having let his fans in on what has been going on, it doesn’t seem as if Jake Paul is too worried about the FBI raid, or at least he’s putting up a good front. Though, he did ultimately delete the video, so there may be something to that.
Regardless, Jake Paul seems to be in good spirits following the raid on his FBI home. He thanked the fans who believed in him and said he will be focusing on preparing for his boxing match against Nate Robinson moving forward, which squares with what reports have said about Jake Paul since the initial raid.
Surprisingly, there wasn’t any trash talk in the video, however. Jake Paul simply said he’s continuing to focus and “couldn’t be more determined and ready for that fight.” Your move, Nate Robinson.
