For Dancing with the Stars fans, professional dancer Sharna Burgess is famous for her fiery red hair. Burgess donned it throughout her thirteen seasons on the show, including when she won with radio personality, Bobby Bones. That was then, though, and this is now. Sharna Burgess is now blonde and almost unrecognizable.

Fans missed the Dancing with the Stars pro during the show’s 2019 season, but if she ends up being a part of 2020’s cast, Sharna Burgess will be tough to spot. She looks entirely different without her signature strawberry locks. Check out Burgess’ new look as a blonde bombshell below:

Sharna Burgess is a blonde with sassy pink highlights thrown in for good measure in this picture. The Dancing with the Stars vet could not look any more different. As a former blonde (in my case, of the bottled variety), I can attest it is a considerable change. In case you needed a reminder of how dramatic Burgess’ new look is, check out a pic of her former hairstyle below:

On Instagram, Sharna Burgess revealed that all of her formerly red locks were stripped out and toner applied to reveal the beautiful blonde you see above. Burgess is the latest to undergo a hair makeover this summer, while the recent full-body transformation of one-time Dancing with the Stars competitor, Kelly Osbourne, has also made headlines.

Sharna Burgess’ hair change comes as Dancing with the Stars is going through a few changes of its own. ABC let go of Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, who were the hosts during most of Burgess’ seasons. Dancing with the Stars subsequently announced that Tyra Banks would host the upcoming 2020 season.

Sharna Burgess’ former pro competitor called the decision “understandable,” while Season 25 winner Jordan Fisher described the move as “odd.” A full list of celebrity competitors and their pro partners have not been announced yet for Season 29, but Burgess has not been back on Dancing with the Stars as a pro partner since she won Season 27 with Bobby Bones.

While that sounds like another lifetime ago, it has only been a season. Fans will have to wait and see if Burgess gets to be a part of Season 29’s roster. The show will be without two female pros, Witney Carson and Lindsay Arnold (due to pregnancy for the former), who, interestingly, are both blondes like Burgess is now.

Despite our current health crisis, Dancing with the Stars is set to return this fall. Time will tell if Sharna Burgess is part of the cast with her new blonde hair, so stick with CinemaBlend to see if she will be among those to compete with celebrities for the mirror ball trophy when Dancing with the Stars’ line-up for Season 29 is eventually revealed.

Dancing with the Stars’ twenty-ninth season will air Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. A premiere date is still pending. While you wait to return for more mirror ball excitement, check out the other shows that are set to waltz their way onto this fall’s schedule.
