kiefer sutherland the fugitive quibi

Every fall, fans of television's biggest shows flock to their screens to pick up where their favorite primetime characters and storylines left off months earlier, but this fall is obviously different from just about any other year in the medium's history. If we have learned anything up to this point in 2020, we know that the normal order of our lives is no longer what it used to be, and the same goes for TV productions, most of which were shut down for much of the spring and summer months.

At this point in the year, we usually have a solid idea of when audiences would watch perennial favorites like Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, The Walking Dead, and many other ratings winners, but it's hard to plan show premieres when episodes still haven't been filmed. It's not all doom and gloom, however, as there are some great new and returning shows that already have premiere dates set leading up to the Fall 2020 TV season, which is something every single one of us should be excited about.

With multiple awards ceremonies, sporting events, reality competitions, and other television specials, there's still quite a bit to keep our daily schedules busy, and that's not even to mention the upcoming presidential debates slated to be held starting in September. Below is the running list of show (both scripted and unscripted) that are currently locked to take over our televisions in Fall 2020. Please note, this schedule can and will change over the course of the following months, so make sure to bookmark and check back for the most up-to-date information. (The times below are all Eastern Standard Time, and brand new programs are noted in all caps.)

September TV Premieres

September is typically when audiences get to see TV's heaviest hitters gearing up for network premieres, but this year's lineup is going to be a little different, at least for now. We still don't have dates for shows like Dick Wolf's trio of Chicago dramas on NBC, or CBS comedies like Young Sheldon or The Neighborhood, but fans of the Amazon original series The Boys will rejoice when the hit superhero dark comedy returns this month.
