Most of us probably had a long year last year, but to be completely honest if any celebrity had a particularly long year, Kristin Cavallari would be at the top of the list. She split from her famous NFL quarterback ex Jay Cutler in the middle of a pandemic, then had to deal with a slew of rumors, including one related to a former pal from her Laguna Beach days. That wasn’t all, as the online rumor mill just kept getting stoked. She’s addressed it though, shortly after turning 34.
This past week, both Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari took a stand against the Internet rumors, doing so through a matching post on both of their Instagram accounts. You can see Cavallari’s below, and just note Cutler’s had a different image but the same caption.
Unfortunately, this did little to quell the vicious Internet rumors cycle, a cycle Jay Cutler has also not been immune to as both he and his ex dealt with rumors related to their split. Cutler, for his part, also dealt with dating rumors after stirring the pot and hanging out with a woman Kristin Cavallari’s fired. After the two decided to drop their matching posts which featured the comment “The world is full of users. 10 years. Can’t break that,” people obviously simply started speculating the former couple was making a second go of things.
In this case, even if I was hanging out with my ex and trying to put a stop to malicious rumors, this probably would not have been the way I went about it, but according to Kristin Cavallari, most of the time she’s living her best life. On Instagram Stories previously, the Uncommon James businesswoman said her “kids put everything into perspective,” also noting:
All these stupid internet rumors, people thinking they know me or my situation. It’s all just noise. I know who I am. That’s all I care about. That’s why I typically never comment on the bs. OK last thing: the internet thrives on clickbait and juicy stories. No one gives a shit if the headlines is, ‘Kristin Cavallari is just finally really happy.’
Kristin Cavallari’s split from Jay Cutler was pretty contentious, at least where the filed paperwork was concerned. In addition, there were stories about how we maybe should have seen the divorce coming and more, but at the end of the day the two are still co-parenting together and seemingly putting their best feet forward. Now, we're in a new year, Kristin Cavallari just hit her 34th birthday milestone, and the times they are a-changin.' These days it sounds like she has no time for the haters.
From Kristin Cavallari’s end, it sounds as if the split was the correct thing for all involved and maybe sometime soon both she and her ex will be able to step back and breathe a little more. Or maybe her next move will be to jump back into the world of reality TV. You never know when celebs are involved.
