Malcolm In The Middle's Frankie Muniz Is All Grown Up And Announcing The Birth Of His New Baby
Remember Malcolm from Fox's popular sitcom Malcolm In the Middle? Yeah, he would already be able to legally drink if he were a real person. The actor who plays Malcolm, Frankie Muniz, is well into his thirties at this point, but I bet that fact makes ya feel even more old now that the former child actor is officially a father.
Frankie Muniz, who played the titular character in Malcolm In the Middle for the show’s seven-season run, has been documenting his journey towards fatherhood on his Instagram over the last few months, sharing details such as the sonogram, baby bottles and more. The couple had previously announced in October they were having a little boy.
Now the baby is finally here, and while we don't know a ton of details yet, recently, he announced to the world via Instagram Story that he loves his baby and his wife so much, while holding his new bundle of joy.
There’s something about a celebrity announcing a pregnancy, and later, birth, on social media that makes it so emotional. It shows how open the celebrity is and how they want their fans to be part of this special journey. Frankie Muniz has been in the industry since he was 12 years old and now he’s 35, with a wife and a newborn baby. That connection he has to fans that have been watching him since they were younger and literally grew up with him is a bond not many actors are able to have with their fanbases.
The former child actor was making a big name for himself in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, especially on the big screen. Frankie Muniz was in movies such as Big Fat Liar, Agent Cody Banks and its sequel, and was a voice in Dr. Dolittle 2. Besides Malcolm, Muniz appeared in various shows including Lizzie McGuire, All That, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and later Criminal Minds, Last Man Standing and he finished third on Season 25 of Dancing With the Stars.
Last month, the actor made fans feel old as he played a former child star-turned-cult leader in ABC’s The Rookie. His character did not have a happy ending, so it’s good to know Muniz didn’t go down that route, or was even close. Since he’s not acting as much as he once did, it’s always a surprise when Muniz makes a cameo in a TV show or a film.
Even though a portion of the tween/teen girl population in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s would have done anything to be with Frankie Muniz, seeing him so happy and loving life after being in the spotlight for over half his life is refreshing. We wish him, his wife, and newborn baby son all the happiness in the world. Hopefully he takes his time deciding on his next project so he can spend time with his growing family.
