Superman And Lois Will Feature A Lot More Of One Character In Season 2
While Superman & Lois still has a few episodes left of its exciting first season, Season 2 is already shaping up to be a big one. And one character could be getting a lot more screentime in the upcoming season.
Sofia Hasmik, who portrays Smallville Gazette journalist Chrissy Beppo, has been upped to series regular for the second season of the CW superhero series, according to Deadline. Although the character has a tendency to say the wrong things at the wrong time, Chrissy has big dreams. Hasmik took to Instagram shortly after news broke and shared her reaction to the exciting news:
That fact that Chrissy Beppo is going to be seen a lot more in Season 2 should not come as a surprise, since she has been helping Lois with investigating Morgan Edge. She, Lois and Clark discovered why Edge chose Smallvillle over other towns that have X-Kryptonite deposits, so it will be interesting to see what she has to bring to Superman & Lois over these last episodes of Season 1, going into Season 2, and whether or not her research will bring something bigger to expose.
Meanwhile, Season 1 has been a lot to handle. The latest episode not only involved some hilarious VFX mistakes, but also featured Superman and Morgan Edge at a climax, as more about their complicated relationship was revealed. Although it’s hard to tell what could be next following that episode since there are still a couple weeks until the next one, Lois and her sons are going to be dealing with a lot now that Clark is MIA. Clark has gone through a lot as well, and sacrificing himself for his family and going with Morgan Edge shows just how good of a person he really is. Even though he wasn’t good on another Earth, things can change.
When it was revealed that Morgan Edge is not only Kryptonian but also Superman’s brother, things took a turn for the worse. It will be interesting to see how this will affect Lois, Jonathan and Jordan, and see whether or not Chrissy and Lana, who has also been trying to help investigate Edge, will continue their investigation. Now that Season 1 is nearly finished, we are getting to the biggest parts of the season as it’s all coming together. But how exactly that all will end is a mystery that will soon be known.
Superman & Lois returns with new episodes on Tuesday, July 13 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW. For some additional viewing options, check out our 2021 summer TV premiere schedule for what to watch and when to watch it.
