Minor spoilers for Black Widow lie ahead.

It may still be early days for Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the TV and film installments we’ve received have already added so much to the franchise. They’ve done a particularly strong job of bringing in new faces like Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness or Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius. And of course, there’s also Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who made her MCU debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The character is still an enigma at this point, as her endgame is unclear. But based on a sweet exchange between Louis-Dreyfus and Marvel’s Kevin Feige, fans can definitely look forward to seeing more of the actress in the future.

Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige recently took to Twitter to watch Black Widow alongside fans. Throughout the viewing, he also answered fan questions and dropped some cool behind-the-scenes stories in the process. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who briefly appears in the film, eventually came into the discussion, as a fan inquired about when she’d show up again. Feige gave a very optimistic response, which drew a nice reply from Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Check out exchange down below:

While Kevin Feige does his best to keep MCU secrets from fans, it’s no secret that he loves to gush about the many stars he’s able to work with. His praise of Julia Louis-Dreyfus is great to see, and it’s absolutely deserved. It’s true that the Emmy-winning actress hasn’t had too much screen time up to this point, yet she’s been pitch perfect whenever she’s appeared.

Unlike recent MCU additions like David Harbour’s Red Guardian and Wyatt Russell’s John Walker, Val was a complete surprise, as Marvel wanted it. Falcon and Winter Soldier head writer and producer Malcolm Spellman previously explained that Val’s inclusion on the show began when he and his team were writing a “shady-ass CIA character” to meet with John Walker. Sometime later, Marvel suggested Val fill the position, and the rest is MCU history.

The team at Marvel Studios went to “stunning” lengths to conceal Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ role, so it’s no surprise that nothing leaked ahead of time. And although her debut was actually meant to occur in Black Widow, her role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier still works perfectly. You can check out her debut on the show by streaming it on Disney+, which you can sign up for using this link.

Val is currently proving to be somewhat of the anti-Nick Fury, as she’s been recruiting people with notable skills. As you can imagine, there are theories circulating about what she’s planning, but some signs point to her forming the MCU’s version of the Dark Avengers. While it’s only speculation, it’s certainly not impossible.

One thing that is clear, though, is that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is being positioned as a power player in the MCU going forward. It’s exciting to imagine what Kevin Feige and co. have planned for Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ manipulative and witty operative.
