Arrow 'Heir To The Demon' Trailer Teases Katrina Law's Fierce Character Nyssa

Hell hath no fury like an assassin scorned! The latest import from Spartacus to join Arrow is the beautiful Katrina Law, whose appearance next week follows the re-appearance of Cynthia Addai-Robinson's Agent Amanda Waller, and of course, Manu Bennett, who recurs as Slade. As a fan of the Starz series, which would be back on the air about now if not for wrapping up its final season last year, I certainly wouldn't complain if the whole cast found its way onto the CW drama at one point or another. Someone send the call to Liam McIntyre, Daniel Feuerriegel, Peter Mensah, Lucy Lawless, Viva Bianca, Barry Duffield (and his giant Lugo hammer), Ellen Hollman and of course, Dustin Clare, please? That series was brimming with talent and Arrow does seem to be a hot reunion spot for the gladiator drama. And I mean, wouldn't John Hannah make a great villain-type for Arrow? We're getting off topic…
The above trailer for "Heir to the Demon" teases Law's guest spot as Nyssa, Sara's fellow League of Assassins member. All signs point to her being about as kickass as it gets, whether she's shooting an arrow or throwing down…
Here's CW's official episode description, which hints that Laurel will continue to unravel. I guess Sara's return wasn't enough to convince Laurel to get some help. In the meantime, Nyssa wants Sara back.
ARROW - “Heir to the Demon” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)ALEX KINGSTON AND KATRINA LAW (“SPARTACUS”) GUEST STAR — As Laurel (Katie Cassidy) continues to unravel, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Lance (Paul Blackthorne) try to convince Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) to stay in Starling City and finally reunite with Laurel and Dinah (guest star Alex Kingston). However, Sara’s fellow League of Assassins member, Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law, “Spartacus”), comes to bring Sara back to the fold, but when Sara refuses, Nyssa kidnaps Dinah. Realizing she’s putting her family in danger by staying in town, Sara considers re-joining the league. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Jake Coburn.
Going back to the trailer, it seems like there might be a bit more to Sara and Nyssa's relationship than just Assassin-sisterhood, right? I mean, based on how she explains to her father that Nyssa doesn't just want Sara to come back to the League, she wants Sara to come back to her…
Yeah… Oh. Lance's dad-face, which includes him averting his gaze is kind of priceless there.
Another priceless expression…
What exactly is she reacting to here? It seems like it's something horrible.

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
