Michael Chiklis Will Star In Vince Uncensored; Is No Ordinary Family Doomed?

Michael Chiklis is still holding strong as the lead of ABC's low-rated adventure series No Ordinary Family, but from the looks of his latest career move, that's not going to last long. According to THR Chiklis has signed on to star in Vince Uncensored, a new CBS pilot produced by Conan O'Brien's Conaco about a man who approaches the world differently after a life-altering experience.

Signing on for a pilot is no promise of anything-- actors frequently shoot several pilots simultaneously, as there's no guarantee about what might get picked up and who might be replaced. But it's unlikely that the people behind Vince Uncensored would pick Chiklis-- a big name on TV thanks to The Shield-- if they didn't feel pretty certain they could keep him on the show. No Ordinary Family has been pretty low-profile throughout its run on ABC, and is a strong candidate for cancellation. Chiklis hasn't exactly signed its death warrant, but it's a sign that things could be wrapping up on that show at the end of this season.
