Orange Is The New Black Season 2 Photos Tease Blood, Awkwardness And A Confrontation

Netflix has Orange is the New Black set to premiere its second season on June 6, and following up on the countdown teaser, we now have a few stills from Season 2, including the one above, which shows us Taylor Schilling's Piper Chapman very clearly up to something. There's blood all over her hand. And this is where we issue the obvious spoiler warning, if you're not caught up on Season 1 through "Can't Fix Crazy," read no further!
I'm going to guess that the above photo is from immediately after Piper's blowup with Pensatucky. She's wearing the same jacket and name badge and there's snow in the background. Plus, she looks kind of panicked. Or maybe she's still mad. It's entirely possible this is from a different scene, but all signs point toward this being a follow-up moment from the Season 1 finale.
Moving on to other glimpses from the new season, we have this hilariously awkward "Mock Job Fair" photo, which shows a bunch of the inmates looking bewildered and uncomfortable in their "work" clothes.
Well, Sophia (Laverne Cox) is looking pretty ok with herself over on the end there, but everyone else seems lost. I'm guessing this is some kind of exercise to help the women prepare for life on the outside?
Finally, we have Kate Mulgrew, who plays red, staring down a new character named Yvonne "Vee" Parker, played by Lorraine Toussaint.
What do you suppose is going on there? Looks like they're in some kind of green room or something. Whatever's going on, that woman doesn't seem at all intimidated by Red. Is that her mistake or has Red met her match?
The highly-anticipated second season of Netflix’s ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK gives us a closer look at our favorite, darkly funny prisoners; their shifting alliances within Litchfield and conflicts we never saw coming. The series' unforgettable ensemble includes Taylor Schilling, Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Taryn Manning, Laverne Cox, Michael Harney, Samira Wiley, Yael Stone and more. Lorraine Toussaint joins the cast in season two as Yvonne "Vee" Parker.
Orange is the New Black comes from Jenji Kohan, based on a memoir from Piper Kerman. Season 2 arrives on Netflix in all territories on Friday, June 6. In the meantime, you can catch the full first season on Netflix. Here's that countdown teaser we mentioned earlier...
