Spartacus War of the Damned Promo Shows Conflict For Spartacus And...

To say this week's episode of Spartacus: War of the Damned looks intense would be a major understatement. The promo for the series teases conflict between Spartacus and another character, and what could be a major injury for more than one character. More detailed spoilers and the actual promo ahead!

Friday night's "Spoils of War" left off with Spartacus and his men cornered at the ridge. On the bright side, all of the main characters managed to make it through the fray leading up to that unscathed. But they're trapped and another attack seems eminent. That may not be their only problem.

It seemed like Spartacus and Crixus had settled their differences and were back on good terms at the end of "Blood Brothers." We didn't see much of either character in last week's episode, but from the promo below, it looks like Crixus and Spartacus are headed toward another major disagreement.

Am I seeing things, or did Crixus smash something across Spartacus' face? Between him and Naevia, some of these characters may have almost as much to fear - in the way of injuries - from Crixus and Naevia as they do from the Romans. Speaking of Naevia, it looks like she gets knocked down and may be in mortal danger. I know I've been pessimistic lately, when it comes to this show. But with just four episodes left to the series, it seems likely that the show is due for a major death soon.

Spartacus: War of the Damned airs Fridays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Starz. Read our breakdown for last Friday's "Spoils of War" here.

At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way).
