18 Of The Best And Worst Oscar Moments, In GIF Form

Last night was Hollywood's biggest event: The Oscars! We celebrated with a live feed and a barrage of articles, giving you up to the minute news you can use. But the morning after, we're feeling already nostalgic…and roughed up from too much champagne (okay, it was technically sparkling white whine we got at the grocery store). So let's take a look back at some of Oscar 2014's wildest moments in GIF form.

One of the night's tightest races came down to Best Supporting Actress. For many, Jennifer Lawrence of American Hustle was the favorite, but the one-time Academy Award winner looking for a repeat was up against Hollywood's latest red carpet sensation: 12 Years A Slave's Lupita Nyong'o. While the night belonged to Nyong'o, Lawrence reminded us early on why we love her, wiping out before she even got inside.

And when Ellen teased her about her repeat trip-up--asking if she might bring the Oscar to Lawrence's seat if she wins--she was a good sport.

But even Lawrence is not as good a sport as Lupita, who outshone her when it came time to shimmy with Pharrell for "Happy."

Amy Adams joined in too!

And Meryl Streep shook it like a lady and an 18-time Oscar nominee!

Ellen's hosting was full of inoffensive bits, that frankly played better online than they did on TV. Like that Twitter-crashing selfie:

And that time where she fed people in priceless gowns and jewels some greasy pizza. Look at Brad Pitt pitching in!

Of course the Oscars are also about the stars who aren't nominated. Which is how we got this Snow White and the Huntsman reunion from Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron:

And this Stealth reunion of Jessica Biel and Jamie Foxx the world has been waiting for:

Plus Channing Tatum, gearing up to host season 19 of The Bachelor. (Seriously, there have been 18 seasons of The Bachelor. Only on ABC.)

Frozen was a big winner, taking home Best Animated Film and Best Song, which was performed by…

Or Idina Menzel. I say "tomato" John Travolta says gibberish.

Good news, you can follow Adele Dazeem on Twitter.

You know who won the big events, but we can all agree the world rejoiced for Lupita, right? She was perfection, that dress, that joy, that speech! Last night had lots of winners - but it was all about Lupita.

Oh, and of course Benedict Cumberbatch who was there because 1) August: Osage County 2) 12 Years a Slave 3) The Desolation of Smaug and 4) Someone had to bring the photobomb funny.
