Why Batman v Superman Will Include This Insane Party

What's the point of having a lot of money if you're not going to have some fun with it? It's why we so often see billionaire characters in Hollywood movies throw big, lavish parties - and it turns out that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is no different. What does set Luthor's big bash apart, however, is his very special guest list, which reportedly includes a good number of superheroes.

Batman-News has reported a new scoop from a source who has told them that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently filming a party sequence at Lex Luthor's house. Standing in for the villain's home is the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum on the Michigan State University campus, which is a rather interesting looking building to say the least:

So who is going to be attending the party? The source on the ground said that they've heard Ben Affleck (a.k.a. Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (a.k.a. Wonder Woman), Henry Cavill (a.k.a. Clark Kent/Superman), Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto are all on set. As you might have guessed, having so many heroes hanging out in a supervillain's house doesn't come without some drama - and there will be plenty of it. Apparently. the scene features Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor getting into a physical fight so bad that the military has to be called in. Local NBC news affiliate WILX got word from an inside source that the sequence will wind up being filled with a lot of special effects, but it's unclear in what capacity. Could this be the scene where we first get to see Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in action together? It might be a bit tough given how many other guests would be at the party, but it sounds like this is going to be a pretty epic moment.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been in production for months now, but the road to the release date is still incredibly long. While normal blockbusters film the year before they come out, we will be waiting for Zack Snyder's film all through 2015, as Warner Bros. has it scheduled to come out on March 25, 2016. That's a long, long wait, but the good news is that from that point on we will be swimming in DC Cinematic Universe films. David Ayer's Suicide Squad will be the second DC title out in 2016, and it will be followed by blockbusters like Justice League Parts 1 and 2, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam, and Cyborg.
