I Was Dreading The Hobbit. I Was Wrong.
I never bothered with the Extended Edition cuts of the various DVD releases. I never did the marathon Rings screenings at neighborhood theaters. I still couldn’t pick Faramir out of a police lineup. Google Maps Offers Walking Directions From The Shire To Modor
Apparently, if you type in walking directions from “The Shire” to “Mordor,” you will be treated to one of the most-parodied lines of dialogue from Jackson’s trilogy. You won’t be able to walk anywhere, just in case you were curious. Unless you really have places named “The Shire” or “Mordor” in your town. (In which case, hello New Zealanders!)
