Watch Mark Hamill Surprise Star Wars Superfans

It's official. Nobody on Earth is having more fun living life right now than Mark Hamill. Nobody enjoys Star Wars fans more than he does, and now he's shown that again by surprising several of them in person. In a new video to promote the Force for Change charity initiative, several Star Wars superfans were brought in to film scenes for what they thought was a look at Star Wars 40th anniversary. Instead, what they got was an opportunity to meet Luke Skywalker. Check it out.

Every time they run a new Force for Change charity campaign, the Star Wars cast gets to get involved and have a good time. We've previously seen Harrison Ford surprise fans during a video conference, but these fans get to have an even better experience by meeting Mark Hamill in person. Each unsuspecting fans is asked to recreate a famous Star Wars scene that involves Luke Skywalker, then Hamill gets involved in the scene and shocks the hell out of the fan.

Having the opportunity to meet Mark Hamill would be a huge moment for most Star Wars fans if you knew it was going to happen. Not expecting it would surely make the moment a complete shock to the system. Most of these fans seem to freeze up when they realize that they're standing next to the actor. It's a completely understandable reaction. My favorite is probably this guy, who hears Hamill behind him and clearly recognized the voice before he even turned around.

This year the Force for Change is campaign is raising money for UNICEF and the Starlight Children's Foundation. By donating money fans will be entered into a drawing to win a number of prizes, including a chance to visit Skywalker Ranch, have a walk-on role in the new Han Solo movie and attend the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The fact that Mark Hamill is even involved in this campaign publicly just goes to show how much things will change between Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Mark Hamill was kept almost entirely under wraps when it came to promoting the last film. That was mostly be design as the fact that Luke Skywalker was missing was a major part of that film's story. Now that Luke has finally been found that means that Hamill also gets to be much more involved, which is nice, because the actor clearly enjoys it. We're looking forward to see more of Luke Skywalker as well when Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters in December.
