Bethenny Frankel And Jason Hoppy Have Agreed To Divorce, Little Else
By Mack Rawden 2 years ago
When estranged spouses are heading for divorce court, they typically negotiate and work out all of the details before asking a judge to legally grant their petition for divorce. This allows the entire sordid matter to be over in one fell swoop. Bethenny Frankel and her soon-to-be ex-husband Jason Hoppy have decided to take the slower, more drawn out approach, however.
According to TMZ, Bethenny and Jason have both already signed papers admitting their marriage is over and submitted them to the judge. As such, the framework of the split itself is already done, but unfortunately for them, thatís overwhelmingly the easiest part of breaking up. Apart from Dennis Quaid and his wife, most people that go to divorce court actually want to break-up and can agree on that. Money and custody issues, on the other hand, arenít quite so simple.
To try and light a fire under their asses, the judge has demanded Bethenny and Jason return with at least a mutually agreed upon parenting plan by May 24th. Hopefully, if they can accomplish that, some momentum will be generated and they can push toward clearing up child support, spousal support and a splitting of the communal assets.
Bethenny and Jason met at a club back in 2008. She got pregnant (later giving birth to a healthy daughter), and the two married not long after. At the end of last year, they decided to separate and back in January, they started throwing around the d word.
Pop Blendís sincerest well-wishes go out to Bethenny and Jason as they move forward, apart. Hereís to hoping itís with less animosity, rather than more.
