Kate Winslet Marries Ned Rocknroll In Small Ceremony

Thirty-seven-year-old women don’t often get married without telling their parents, but then again, they also don’t often marry men whose last names are Rocknroll. That’s exactly the situation Kate Winslet found herself in earlier this month, however, after the actress and her boyfriend of one and a half years, Ned Rocknroll, decided to tie the knot in front of a dozen or so friends and family members.

According to The Sun, Winslet’s two children from her previous marriages were at the ceremony, and she was walked down the aisle by none other than Leonardo Dicaprio. It reportedly took place at the home of her parents in Reading, which makes the situation all the more strange considering they weren’t in attendance.

Winslet and Rocknroll, the thirty-four-year-old nephew of Richard Branson, met a few years ago while she was on vacation with another man at the Virgin founder’s private island. A fire broke out, and he wound up escorting Winslet and her kids home. Their relationship officially began not long after, and they reportedly got engaged and began planning the small wedding a few months back.

This is marriage number three for Kate and number two for Ned. On paper, it doesn’t exactly sound like a guaranteed success, but by all accounts, they are very much in love and very serious. So, Pop Blend wishes them nothing but the best in the coming years. Here’s to hoping this is forever.
