Kristen Stewart Sorry For Cheating, Still Loves Rob

Kristen Stewart made a mistake, and she’s ready to come clean about it. Just one day after compromising photographs of the actress holding hands with and getting close to the married director of Snow White and the Huntsman, Rupert Sanders, emerged, the twenty-two-year-old has taken the unusual step of issuing a public apology to everyone her actions hurt.

In a few honest and open sentences, Stewart admits she had a lapse in judgment and reaffirms her love for boyfriend Rob Pattinson. You can take a look at the statement below, courtesy of People

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,"

After the photographs first hit the Internet, sources close to Stewart were quick to say the mistake was a one-time error and not a long-term affair. Whether or not Pattinson cares about the circumstances surrounding his girlfriend’s indiscretion remains unclear. He’s yet to talk publically, and given the embarrassing nature of what happened, it’s entirely possible he’ll choose to simply shut his mouth. We’ll likely know more about his feelings based on his public behavior, specifically whether or not these two stay together.

Stewart didn’t have to be so open about what happened. On the one hand, it’s honorable for her to willingly admit her mistake, but on the other hand, putting this as a fact on the record could wind up haunting her in the future. We’ll keep you updated.
