Russell Brand No Longer Interested In Katy Perry's Twitter Updates
Earlier this week, Rihanna finally decided to unfollow her ex Chris Brown after the singer released a remix to Kanye’s “Theraflu” that seemed to imply she was promiscuous. Within hours of her unfollow decision, Brown did the same. That’s typically how unfollowing between former couples goes on the popular website. Once one chooses to sever ties, the other follows suit as soon as the slap is discovered, but Russell Brand has never really done anything by the book.
His soon-to-be ex-wife Katy Perry dropped Brand from her Twitter life almost immediately after the divorce settlement was officially agreed to, but according to US Weekly, the comedian didn’t get around to doing the same until a few days ago. Whether all the stories of her new romance with Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd played a role isn’t known, but you’d have to imagine the timing is too much of a coincidence for it not to have been some sort of factor.
By all accounts, Brand seems like a pretty decent guy. While neither he nor Perry has ever officially given a reason why the marriage ended, most sources have said the split had a lot to do with him preferring to stay away from Hollywood parties and the nightlife. As such, I would be shocked if he ever publicly bashes his ex or even addresses this Twitter unfollowing. He seems content to move on, and if unfollowing her was the last step in that process, so be it.
