It may be snowy winter for some of us, but at Greendale Community College, Halloween is almost here! The comedy series premiered last night with an episode that was originally slated to air in mid-October, which probably explains why next week's episode, titled "Paranormal Parentage" has everyone dressed in costumes. Check out the spoiler photos ahead and try to figure out who's who!
It sounds like this is going a Pierce-focused episode, which is a good thing, considering last night's premiere saw Chevy Chase's character sidelined with a pile of balls in his hands. Here's the official description for "Paranormal Parentage," which has the gang headed to a Halloween party but then detoured
THE STUDY GROUP MAKES AN UNEXPECTED TRIP TO PIERCE’S MANSION ON HALLOWEEN – While on their way to Vicki’s (Danielle Kaplowitz) Halloween costume party, the study group makes a detour to Pierce’s (Chevy Chase) mansion when they learn he accidentally locked himself in his panic room. As Pierce languishes behind locked doors, the group searches the dark and eerie house for the book that holds the code to the door. Along the way they encounter a few of the house’s secrets.
Here are the photos, which reveal everyone's costumes.
Shirley's Princess Leia and Troy is... Tony the Tiger? (Going with that over Tigger, especially with his Lucky Charm reference last night). Britta is… a piece of meat? Jeff's a boxer. Annie looks like the Grudge girl (though something about her costume reminds me of restrained, giggly Annie from "Curriculum Unavailable"). Not sure about Abed or Pierce Any guesses? (Update: One of our commenters, Alex, suggests Troy and Abed are Calvin and Hobbes. Seems like a very good possiblity!)
This one is gloriously majestic, when you factor in the portrait of Pierce.
And the Dean's rocking a six-pack with his costume.
Finally, this one shows everyone looking very uncomfortable in Pierce's house.
Community airs Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
