In a matter of days, gamers will be able to try out Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Konami revealed that they're going to release a demo for the game through PSN and Xbox Live on January 22nd in North America. Most European countries will receive it the following day.
The demo contains three stages and gives players plenty of opportunities to try out the new sword-based combat system. Revengeance, unlike previous Metal Gear, focuses on melee combat. Raiden will slice up human and robotic enemies alike with his High Frequency Blade. The game's Blade Mode allows him to slow time and queue up multiple attacks.
This is the same demo that was included in the Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Thus, you can find full video footage of the demo on YouTube if you want. One such video is below.
Hopefully the demo will be substantial enough to tide you over for a month. The full game will launch on February 19th in North America and on the 22nd in Europe.
