Valentine's Day Sale On PSN Offers Big Discounts

Sony currently has a Valentine's Day flash sale on PSN games available digitally for gamers playing on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation 4. There are a variety of games available at discounted prices, with some games being discounted at up to 90% off the normal digital price point. The sale only lasts up until February 15th, so it's best to get in on it while it's up and available.

Game Informer points out that a lot of the games available on the PSN marketplace at discounted rates are cooperative games, and it's true. Games like EA and Visceral Games' Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel – the 2013 third-person shooter with a heavy focus on gun customization and tactical shooting teamwork – are available as part of the flash sale and you can pick up a copy for the PS3 for only $1.99, down from the $19.99 price point.

There are other titles discounted as well, including Battlefield 4. There are five different versions of the game, all of which are discounted by 60% off the regular price; this includes the PS3 and PS4 bundles and season passes.

Other shooters that make list at a discounted price includes Borderlands 2, which is 80% off the normal price and Far Cry 4, which joins its FPS brethren with the PS3 and PS4 versions being available at 70% off. The crazy part about it is that the PS3 and PS4 versions costs the exact same amount, so if you have a PS4 you'll definitely want to get that version since you're paying the same price but getting more features, better performance and better graphics.

It's not all shooting games on sale, though. Out of the 122 titles they have discounted, some of them include hack-and-slash RPGs, like Larian Studios' Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition, or Marvelous Entertainment's Soul Sacrifice for the PS Vita. Other games like Bomberman Ultra make the cut, along with all of the PlayStation renditions of Resogun. Casual games like Boggle are also available at 80% off the normal price, along with games like Double Dragon Neon.

Lesser known games like Girl Fight, Fluster Cluck, and Insomniac's Fuse are also all heavily discounted, along with games like Final Exam and Paintball 2. I'm actually kind of shocked to see Girl Fight on the list because the game seemed like it was sent out to die on the marketplace. Well it's only $1.99 now so you can see if it's worth the price of entry and as bad as all the critics said it was.

Forgotten games like Narco Terror and NFL Blitz also make the list, along with the very average Knack, which was a PS4 launch title. More recent games that have also been overlooked like the hilariously creative Penarium are available as well, but not quite as deeply discounted as some of its other counterparts, for instance since it recently released the game is only 60% off the normal price as opposed to other games that are 80% and 90% off.

You can check out the full list of discounted titles during the Valentine's Day flash sale by paying a visit to the PSN store page.
