Gelid Games has been hard at work on the upcoming vehicular combat game for the PlayStation 3, Wheels of Destruction. The game has been promoted a couple of times in the last few weeks and it was announced today that an official release date would be set for the SEN exclusive.

Wheels of Destruction pits players in an arena of demolish-or-be-demolished competition. Five distinct classes make for deadly cutthroat vehicle combat with a unique futuristic aesthetic – all powered by the Unreal Engine. Wheels of Destruction brings gamers together just to tear them apart in an addictive, easy-to-learn but hard-to-master battle behind the wheel. Just make sure you’re ready for chaos and carnage!
The five classes offer players various types of play-styles to explore and exploit the weapon abilities and power-ups of that specific class. It's a lot like Unreal Tournament meets Twisted Metal, but will be available at a fraction of the cost.
The game, of course, also sports some intense multiplayer action for gamers who either want to team with friends to take down opponents or go against friends in some heated vehicular head-to-head action.
