New 3:10 To Yuma Poster

I’ve never really been a big Western guy. I realize that some people worship the genre, but watching grown men play dress up, ride around on horses, and pretend to fire guns just never appealed to me. I guess I just outgrew that fantasy along with pet rocks and pogs; so, imagine my surprise when I saw the trailer for 3:10 To Yuma and felt myself getting all schoolgirl giddy and excited. I figured this initial fanboy behavior would wear off, but yesterday’s new poster has just heightened my anticipation.

We have a copy of the new teaser to your right, and it looks incredible. To see it in high-res click here. The sheet is essentially just a standard split screen, but somehow the marketing time was able to capture all the anger and badass attributes of both Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Both of these men scare the hell out of me, and the fact that I know an imminent showdown is on the horizon makes me euphoric on some base alpha male level.

3:10 To Yuma is headlined by the two aforementioned actors and is directed by the brilliantly talented James Mangold (Walk The Line). It follows a prisoner (Crowe) who is entrusted into the care of a local, surly rancher (Bale). The last time Christian Bale squared off with anyone was in The Prestige, and that turned out to be far-and-away the best film of 2006. The train heads into theaters on September 7th, and I highly recommend that you buy your ticket as soon as possible.
