Domestic Rambo

One year ago today we gave you the heads up that the bone heads at Miramax were pulling a Frankenstein on Rambo, piecing him together from whatever scraps they could find and shocking him to life, releasing him on an unsuspecting public. Now one year later, there's a little more to the story.

Movie Hole News has pointed out a recent interview with Sly Stallone in which he hinted that a story for Rambo IV has been found. Stallone said "They (the studio) optioned a book for Rambo IV. It'll deal with a domestic problem. No head band.". Domestic? Should we be bracing for The Pacifier 2?

Stallone apparently compared the film to Deliverance. While that was a fine film the first time around, is there any reason we need another one, much less starring Rambo? When will studios learn that it's never good idea to resurrect an old idea and try to find a story for it later. With a novel optioned and Stallone on board, it's only short jump into pre-production and into theaters. I can hardly wait.
