New Man Of Steel Trailer Has General Zod On The Hunt For Superman

Thus far just about all of the marketing for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel has focused on its titular hero, played by Henry Cavill, and it's not hard to see why. After all, he is not only the main character of the movie, but the film is also his origin tale - a retelling of how Superman first got to Earth from Krypton and grew up to become the greatest hero on the planet. But for the latest trailer Warner Bros. has changed things up a bit.

The studio has launched a brand new preview for Man of Steel, as you can see above, but the big difference this time around is that it's the villains that are put in the spotlight. Kicking off with the same warning that was featured in the viral video that arrived online last month, the new trailer is focused almost entirely on Michael Shannon's General Zod, who seems to be very desperate to get his fellow Kryptonian in his clutches. What's more, we finally get to hear some dialogue from Antje Traue's Faora, as well as some never-before-seen footage. It's an all around winner that makes us only more excited for the movie's release.

Directed by Zack Snyder and developed by Christopher Nolan, Man of Steel brings together an all-star cast that includes not just Cavill, Shannon and Traue, but also Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix, and Richard Schiff. Look for it in theaters on June 14th.
