New Captain America: Civil War Video Focuses On Team Cap Assembling

It's been almost four months since Captain America: Civil War raked in the big bucks, and left audiences wanting more. With the home video / VOD release set for September 13th, the attention of the film's fans turns towards the extras that will be included with their personal copy. One such bonus is a feature that focuses solely on "The Making of Team Cap," and you can watch a clip of that bonus feature in the Tweet below.

The clip from Captain America: Civil War's Blu-ray / DVD release comes from IGN, as they've provided everyone with the opening minute of "The Making of Team Cap." While it's only a fraction of the full feature that'll be on the home video package, it's enough to serve as an effective Cliff's Notes version of how Team Cap came to be, as well as how it landed members like Scott Lang's Ant-Man and Clint "Hawkeye" Barton. Sure, the movie does a good job of covering that process in greater, more spectacular detail. However, if you're in need of a 60 second refresher on the set-up of Joe and Anthony Russo's superhero showdown, you may as well bookmark this page as a resource.

In addition to the background information on the team's formation, we're treated to some commentary from the actors behind the roles, and while their remarks are friendly, they are very much pro-Team Cap. Elizabeth Olsen, aka "Scarlet Witch," is pretty much the centerpiece of the argument, as she makes the case that the team behind Steve Rogers' leadership is made of mostly jokers. But you don't have to take her word for it, as there's footage showing off the cast of Captain America: Civil War being a bunch of goofballs on the set of the film. Knowing that this gang of professionals isn't above being total clowns in-between takes only helps show how effective of a team Captain America, and Chris Evans for that matter, has in his corner.

Of course, now it's time for Team Iron Man to step up to the plate and meet the challenge set out in front of them. Undoubtedly, there will be a reel detailing "The Making of Team Iron Man," and with Robert Downey Jr.'s renowned comedic chops in house, there could be another serious competition brewing between this divided continuum of heroes. Though we may have to wait for that feature to hit on release day, in which case you'll see Captain America: Civil War hit shelves for purchase on September 13th. Though if you want to get the jump on the fun, the film will be available on Digital HD this Friday.
