Even Chris Pratt Doesn’t Know About That Mysterious Guardians Easter Egg

Chris Pratt as Peter Quill in Guardians Of The Galaxy

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is packed with Easter Eggs. Some of these are plainly obvious, while others are so teeny-tiny that even the most eagle-eyed moviegoers haven't been able to spot them. In fact, James Gunn gleefully loves to point out that there's one Easter Egg from Guardians Of The Galaxy that fans still haven't been able to find. Those of you hoping for tips on where to find the Easter Egg shouldn't turn to Chris Pratt, because it turns out that even though he plays Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the two films James Gunn still hasn't told him what or where it is. Chris Pratt recently admitted,

[Gunn] won't tell me what it is. I asked him. He won't tell me. I'm like, 'C'mon, man. Don't you trust me?' He's like, 'No.' He thinks I'll spoil it. He won't tell me shit.

While James Gunn's remarks about Chris Pratt being untrustworthy are rather brutal, they are also completely understandable. Sure he's arguably the most relatable and likable leading man around at the moment, but it is also fair to say that Chris Pratt probably can't be trusted with the most sacred of Marvel's secrets. Or maybe he is actually really dependable and he's just so thoroughly convincing at playing a ditzy klutz that it has warped the entire world's impression of him. Probably the first one, considering that during the same interview with The Huffington Post, Chris Pratt did admit that he completely understands why James Gunn won't tell him certain bits of information regarding the future of the series, though, because even he thinks he "would be blabbing all over the place."

On the other hand, though, when it comes to this particular secret, I have to question why James Gunn is being so reticent. Especially since it has been almost three years since the original film was released, and people still haven't been able to spot the Easter Egg in this time. At this point, it feels as though James Gunn has more than proven that he is the king of cinematic hide and seek and should now just put us other of our misery. That doesn't sound as if it's going to happen any time soon, though. So in the meantime all we can do is count down the days until Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is finally upon us. Those of you that are looking for a quick fix of the film before it is actually in cinemas can check out its rollicking trailer, below.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be released on May 5, while those of you looking for other films to devour between now and the end of the year should check out CinemaBlend's full 2017 release schedule for some tips.
