Yep, that looks absolutely delightful. While the first couple of trailers and clips for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets did a superb job of introducing us to Dane DeHaan's Valerian and his intergalactic partner through time and space, Laureline, played by Cara Delevingne, as well as showcasing Luc Besson's ambitious and decadent vision for the film, this footage finally gives us our best look yet at Alpha.

So what did we learn courtesy of the above? Well, by the time that we're introduced to Alpha in Valerian City Of A Thousand Planets it has traveled 700 million miles. It is now also the home to 30 million individuals across 3,236 species, each of which come from all four corners of the universe. There's more, too, because over 5,000 languages are spoken on Alpha. And that doesn't include the computer languages. Basically, Luc Besson went all in on detailing this incredibly diverse and weird world.

Basically it looks like a utopia. In the south of Alpha there's the submerged part of the city, which includes peaceful farmers living in all kind of different liquids. Then in the north there's the gaseous lands that's populated by a species that's so extremely sensitive it "makes them specialists in neurosciences and molecular components." The finances of Alpha are controlled in the east, while the west is populated by nine million humans, each of which live in a pressurized atmosphere.
