HeroBlend Podcast #15: Warner Bros. Comic-Con Surprises And Animated Superhero Movies
Welcome to the HeroBlend Podcast #15! Well, San Diego Comic-Con is behind us once again, and while there were certainly some exciting things that came out of that annual gathering, the world of superhero news has also been abuzz for the past week with info that didn't even touch the convention. For you this week, Eric (who's still recovering from Comic-Con madness) and Adrienne will talk about the biggest news items of the past few days and then dive into the Wonder Woman 1984 footage that was revealed in San Diego, along with the trailers for Shazam! and Aquaman.
Speaking of Comic-Con, Warner Bros./DC made some moves that surprised many at the convention, including us, so we'll talk all about what the company showcased during it's big panel, plus what we hope it means for the future of the DCEU. Animated big screen superhero adventures seem to be a new trend, so we will also discuss whether or not now is the right time to add these films to the cinematic legacy of comic book movies, when there are already so many live-action options coming at us every year. Last, but not least, Eric will give us some details for DC Universe, the upcoming streaming platform for DC lovers, which he was able to preview at Comic-Con. Sit back and relax, folks, because this is one chat you're not going to want to miss! Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
