After all that they've been through these last couple of months, could Kim Kardashian and Kanye West be heading for a divorce? That's the rumor that some tabloids are reporting, and it might even be easy to believe when you consider all the horrible stuff that's been happening to them recently, from Kim's robbery at gunpoint to Kanye's recent hospitalization for a temporary psychosis. But what do we really know?
Well, when it comes to the Kardashians, there is no better source than E! News, and the entertainment outlet's sources are calling those divorce rumors totally false.
The clarification is a response to an article in the current issue of Us Weekly that claims Kim Kardashian is slowly distancing herself from Kanye West and plans to file divorce papers eventually. But rather than driving a wedge between them, it seems as though Kardashian and West's recent string of tragedies has actually brought the couple even closer together. After West was hospitalized a couple weeks back for a reported temporary psychosis due to exhaustion and dehydration, Kardashian immediately flew to Los Angeles to stay by his bedside as he recovered. After West was released from his eight-day stay at the hospital last week, he and his wife both canceled all of their public appearances through the end of 2016 to focus on their family. That sure doesn't sound like something a divorcing couple would do...
The reason all these Kimye rumors have been bubbling up is the fact that Kim Kardashian has uncharacteristically stayed off of social media and away from any public appearances since she was held at gunpoint and robbed in Paris in early October. Kanye West had continued his world tour up until a few weeks ago, when he ended what would be his final concert extremely early after an impassioned rant about politics and the downsides of fame. The next day, the rapper canceled the rest of his tour dates and was admitted to a hospital after reportedly getting aggressive with a member of his staff.
Since then, Kanye West has joined his wife in becoming more reclusive then usual. Reportedly, he's been spending most of his time in his personal recording studio working on new material. He's also still receiving outpatient treatment while at home. But West did find a bit of time to get out of the house on Thursday when he was spotted at a furniture show in West Hollywood, and a now-deleted Instagram post shows the rapper was even rocking a totally new hairstyle: short blonde hair.
It looks like the only thing that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are worrying about right now is healing and remaining a strong, happy family.
