Last week, Beyonce shocked the world by announcing that she is pregnant with twins, and now it's Amal Clooney's turn. The accomplished attorney and her movie star husband George Clooney are reportedly expecting two bundles of joy this year.
Apparently, Amal Clooney is due to give birth to twins this June, according to The Talk host Julie Chen, who broke the news on Thursday. These will be the first children for both Amal, and for George Clooney, who has been known for his bachelor lifestyle up until a couple of years ago when he settled down with Amal. The Clooneys have been together for two and a half years, since 2014, the year that they married.

A June due date would mean that Amal Clooney is most likely already around five months into her pregnancy right now. TMZ is already reporting that they have the scoop on the sex of the twins, claiming that one will be a boy and the other a girl, although the Clooneys have yet to officially confirm or deny that.
The news of a pair of Clooney babies would have sounded totally farfetched just a few years ago, when George Clooney was one of the most famous bachelors in Hollywood. For years, Clooney was well known for never settling down and marrying any of his famous girlfriends, but that all changed in 2014 when he met Amal Alamuddin. The two got engaged very pretty much right when the public found out they were seeing each other, and have been one of the classiest married couples in Hollywood ever since.
Even as recently as 2015, George Clooney was talking about how he was not quite ready yet for kids. In an interview with Charlie Rose, Clooney said that although he had been married for about a year, having children wasn't really a top priority for him at the time. What a difference a little over a year can make --- now Clooney isn't only going to be a father to one kid, but two!
With this wonderful Clooney news, it really seems like Hollywood is just going twin-crazy recently! I mean, Beyonce just announced that she's expecting twins, Madonna adopted twin girls from Malawi this week, and Pharrell Williams one-upped them all a couple weeks ago when his wife gave birth to triplets. Did 2017 just somehow become the year of celebrity multiples?
