Demi Lovato Shares Photos Of Stretchmarks And Belly Fat With Fans

Demi Lovato is a candid person, and she's not afraid to reveal herself. The pop singer has been open about her struggles and her fears over the years. This has since translated to her Instagram, Lovato also took a moment to show a side of herself that even her fans don't often see. The musician posted a series of videos that showed (as she calls it) her "cellulite," her "stretch marks" and her "extra fat." These social media videos are part of Lovato's continued effort to express her self-love, and to provide that same message of openness, honesty, and positivity to her many fans all around the world. Demi Lovato likes to keep it real. Here's the first photo Lovato released, showing her grabbing her stomach and talking about the insecure areas of her stomach, while also maintaining that she still loves herself.

These Instagram videos were posted by Demi Lovato late Thursday night. Shortly thereafter, the 25-year-old musician posted a Boomerang mirror clip of her bottom in short shorts, twirling back and forth and writing "Cellulite and yet I still love myself." You can check out a screencap from it below.

While one was hard-pressed to spot the actual cellulite in the video itself, Demi Lovato maintaine that was not her doing. As she wrote in the following message, Boomerang seemingly smoothed out her features. But she assures her fans that it's there, just like it is for many different men and women.

The boomerang smoothed out my legs. The point is, I have cellulite just like the other 93% of women do. What you see on Instagram isn't always what it seems to be. Let's embrace our real selves. #iloveme.

Demi Lovato concluded this moment of positivity with a final mirror self, one that focused on her thighs. The musician wrote that there was "no thigh gap for me and yet I still love me." This is only one recent case of Demi Lovato being completely open and honest about herself these last few years.

Three weeks ago, Demi Lovato celebrated six years of sobriety. She expressed her thanks and gratitude to her fans and followers through her journey. As she admitted in interviews and on social media over the past few years, her addictions have remained a struggle throughout her recovery. Lovato also has been candid about her mental health and struggles with an eating disorder. She has used her platform to inspire and empower her followers, which is why she continues to remain in the straight lane all these years. Beyond her own personal health and well-being, she wants to keep doing right by all her fans.

That tradition continues with these new Instagram videos. You can always count on Demi Lovato to be straightforward and open and deeply sincere, and that remains the case today. Here's to Demi Lovato and her continued efforts to spread the love. It's always good to hear about her positivity.
