Specifically, the musician revealed that a helicopter was involved in the declaration of love. Here's how Katy described it.
It was Valentine's Day… I thought we were going to go see some art after dinner, but instead we pulled up to a helicopter.
During the talk show clip, Katy Perry began the interview by explaining how she and her soon-to-be hubby had their meet-cute moment. It involved a stolen In-N-Out burger. Shortly thereafter, Perry started talking about the engagement itself, which she called "very sweet." The holiday proposal started when Perry and Orlando Bloom went to get some dinner, and the musician thought they were going to see some art together. Suffice to say, that's wasn't the case. Instead, the celebrity couple found themselves inside a helicopter. And inside the said helicopter, the actor finally asked the big question -- with the help of a little bit of champagne.
But that wasn't the half of it. As Katy Perry explained later in the clip, the engagement didn't merely involve a scenic helicopter ride. When they landed the plane, they were greeted by Perry's family and friends, who were on hand to wish the celebrity well. Orlando Bloom clearly put a lot of thought into the grand proposal, and it's exciting to know that it was such a hit. Here's how Perry put it.
We landed on a rooftop [in Los Angeles] and my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well.
